In the beginning was the word, and the word became flesh.
โCosmos.โ
From the primordial waters of infinite chaos - order. Form. Matter. One, became two. From Adam, Eve.
The presence of anything, supposes the absence of nothing, implies the existence of everything.
Before the Big Bang, there was no before the Big Bang. The Big Bang emerged from, and into, eternity. What began with the Big Bang, is the materalisation of space and time, expanding infinitely, eternally. For something to contain the faculties of infinite, and eternity, that which it emerged from, must also.
Consciousness. Awareness. Sentience. Life. Imagination. Mind.
I can imagine myself elsewhere. In my minds eye, I can see around walls, I can hear voices, I can remember the past and perceive a future. I can go to sleep and travel to distant places and worlds, I can live for months and years at a time in a life that will cease to exist upon awakening. Itโs safe to say, then, that my mind is not constrained by the limitations of space and time. Although the body that seems to contain or at least communicate with my mind, is - I, am not.
This begs the question then - if I am alive, I am aware, I can speak, I can think, I can imagine. I harbour this elusive, unknowable, inconceivable essence that gives me the ability to know myself, to discover the universe, to experience life. Where did this come from, if it were not present in the โthingโ that preceded, or even, contained, the Big Bang? If every single atom cascaded from this singularity, then it contained everything that is in stars, and the Earth, and in me. It contained consciousness, life, awareness. If it contained my intelligence, my mind, that which allows me to think, breathe, know, this must be drenched within the very fabric, the texture of the universe itself. The universe emerged from an infinite, eternal singularity that at least contained the faculties of consciousness, awareness, life and intelligence. That is the material that is โuniverseโ. Beyond the atom. Within the atom. Without the atom. God.
If the universe emerged from Chaos to Cosmos - from chaos to order, then it is safe to say that it emerged from Eros to Logos.
Eros is the vehicle in which humanity is able to most closely replicate, touch, know, God. Two into one. The union of opposites that were separated at the birth of the universe. The creation of life.
The eye through which I see God is the eye through which God sees me. The minds eye. Beyond space and time.
